TongBall's Chromium oxide-coated valve stems are engineered for long-term reliable operation of moving parts in aggressive chemical environments. A dense Cr₂O₃ ceramic coating is applied to the stem surface via high-velocity flame spraying (HVOF) or plasma spraying. This coating offers excellent chemical inertness alongside good wear resistance, effectively resisting corrosion from acids, alkalis, salts, and a wide range of corrosive gases. Its smooth surface (post-spray Ra controllable within 0.8 μm) and low friction coefficient ensure low-torque, smooth valve operation and long-term sealing stability in corrosive operating conditions, making it an ideal choice for demanding applications in the chemical, pulp and paper, and electroplating industries.
